Annual Dinner 2011

The Sultan Restaurant in Lancaster was packed on June 6 2011 for the Foundation’s ninth annual dinner. £5000 was raised in total during the evening which opened and closed with words from the Quaran.

Hafiza Suleman, one of the Foundation’s UK Trustees, Stephanie Chaplin, a UK Volunteer, and Professor Mukhtiar Zaman, Chief Executive of the Abaseen Foundation Pakistan talked about the work of the Foundation. Dr Robert Walsh, Director of Research at University of Central Lancashire spoke about the collaborative research undertaken by the Foundation and the University.

William Bingley, a Trustee of the Abaseen Foundation said “Once again the Foundation must thank all its supporters for making this such a successful evening. Central to our success is the ambience and wonderful food provided by the Sultan Restaurant who have hosted all our dinners. Next year will be our tenth annual dinner and we will be aiming to make it even more special than this one ”
