Sponsor Jasmin Alliyah Hossain to climb Mount Toubkal, Morocco

Jasmin Alliyah Hossain is joining Abaseen Foundation’s 2024 Trek to Mount Toubkal in Morocco.

“I first came across Abaseen Foundation over a year ago when i attended a climate change symposium at my University. After hearing about what they have achieved so far and their future goals, I knew i wanted to get involved with this initiative one way or another.

I wish to participate in this Trek because the funds raised will be going towards supporting a great cause. Participating in this charity hike provides a tangible way to contribute to a greater good. I feel the hike itself will offer an opportunity for personal growth, allowing me to push myself beyond my perceived limits. As well as achieving that sense of accomplishment based on the hike and for the children and families in Pakistan.

Out of this trek, I wish to raise awareness on the importance to support the development of communities in Pakistan and around the world.”

Support this ambitious charity trek to raise funds for some of the poorest people in the world.

Here’s how your very generous contribution will help:

Contribute towards the building of schools

Help ensure clean water for drinking

Sponsor children left orphaned

Contribute towards the building of homes for the homeless

Abaseen’s Impact Over the Last 20 Years

Since we were formed over 20 years ago, we’ve worked tirelessly to improve the lives of people in North West Pakistan. Here’s a small sample of our achivements so far:

EDUCATION

  1. Educating girls in an area where literacy level for girls was less than 3%.

  2. We recently opened a degree college for girls to enable girls to progress to a university education.

  3. It isn’t all about knowledge! We have a very successful vocational training college for girls and boys with a wide range of skills to develop and enterprising aspect that provides apprentices with the tools they need to continue and develop their own business.

HEALTH

  1. We provide basic health care to people in the area who would otherwise have no access to health care at all.

  2. We have introduced a much-needed well-being for women service which addresses period poverty.

  3. We offer an x-ray service within the community without which they would need to take time off work and pay the expenses to go to Peshawar. This basic and essential imaging technology would otherwise be inaccessible due to cost.

HUMANITARIAN RELIEF

  1. 2005 earthquake

  2. Floods in Swat Vallery in 2010

  3. More recent floods in Swat, where we raised £135,000 to respond to the catastrophe

And finally - we stand ready to respond to any future disasters. Given the escalating climate crisis, there will almost certainly be more, and we have recently started looking at how we address climate sensitive projects.

Our partnership with our creative agency means we can launch a humanitarian appeal within 90 minutes.
