Spring Walks: Pendle Hill Circle

This walk, which is 7 miles long and a climb of 1850 feet, is being held in order to raise funds that will help us to continue deliver education and health to the poor and needy in Khyber Pakhthunkwa, North West Pakistan.

Pendle Hill is suitable for all with a good level of fitness.

Generally considered a challenging route, this 39.1-km circular trail near Austwick, North Yorkshire, is great for backpacking and hiking. There will be an opportunity to stop after peak 1 and after peak 2.

This walk is being held in order to raise funds that will help us to continue deliver education and health to the poor and needy in Khyber Pakhthunkwa, North West Pakistan.

Annual Gala 2023

We are looking forward to welcoming the team from Pakistan on their annual visit to tell us about what Abaseen Foundation this year with your support. Among other things we will be showcasing our most recent development - our new degree college for girls - the first ever in history in this area.

This year we will be welcoming you to a new venue - The Glass Marquee at Stanley House Hotel & Spa, a spectacular location looking out over a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Journey So Far & The Road Ahead

Join our evening event as we celebrate 25 years of our work supporting some of the poorest people in the world who live in rural North West Pakistan.

We look forward very much to seeing you and will be letting you know what we have been doing since we last saw you before the pandemic and sharing our plans for the future.

Speakers for the evening
  • Helen Bingley OBE DL - the origins of the charity and our achievements over the last 25 years in all of our projects

  • Dr Mukhtiar Zaman - our recent work to assist some of the 30 million people displaced by flood activity

  • Professor Nicola Lowe - The impact of the floods on the nutritional status of people in Pakistan now and in the future

There will then follow an opportunity for questions and answers, and then attendees will adjourn for light refreshments and nibbles.

There will also be a raffle and the opportunity to donate.
